The twelve columnists at Pen & Paper Sports understand that there are many people within today’s society who are less fortunate than we are. As a result of this, we endeavour to financially support numerous charities in hope of improving the lives of those in need.

As of 9 August 2011, Pen & Paper Sports had raised a combined total of $1,104.05 for the charities listed below. Please take some time to visit these organisations and make a much needed donation:

To Write Love On Her Arms

Campaign started: 10 June 2010
Amount raised: $24.05

To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.  TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.

McGrath Foundation

Campaign started: 1 January 2011
Amount raised: $305.00

A charity highlighting how breast cancer affects women of all ages, so being breast aware is very important to all women, including young women.

Live Below The Line

Campaign started: 9 May 2011
Amount raised: $675.00

An incredible new awareness and fundraising campaign that’s making a huge difference in the fight against extreme poverty and allowing thousands of Australians to better understand the daily challenges faced by those trapped in the cycle of extreme poverty.

EJ Whitten Foundation

Campaign started: 16 May 2011
Amount raised: $100.00

A charity aimed to raise awareness of prostate cancer, through numerous campaigns and events. An increase of awareness will hopefully result in regular testing and early detection.
