Dwight Howard set to join Lakers for $250 million over 6 years

It has been reported by Jay Clark, a Melbourne-based journalist for the Herald Sun, that Orlando Magic superstar Dwight Howard is poised to sign a 6-year, $250 million deal which would see him switch to the LA Lakers. This follows weeks of speculation in which Howard has failed to ink a new deal with the Magic.

More to follow shortly…

  1. So the NBA has circumvented the Salary Cap and Dwight Howard is getting over double the max contract for an individual player?

Good work by Jay Clark but maybe he is better off reporting on the Bulleen Boomers in the WNBL and leaving real sports for other people…

    • Never met the bloke but in defence of Jay Clark and the Herald Sun, although his numbers may be incorrect, the fact remains that Howard may well be leaving for LA.
